Hey! It's my birthday!
To celebrate, I'm taking the day off work, meeting up with some friends for dinner, and having a little giveaway! (Oh, and going to DMV to renew my driver's license. How's that for waiting 'til the last minute?)

Here's mine:
A few years back, my good friend Kristina, who was going to Grad School in Iowa at the time, called to wish me a happy birthday. (It was early morning, but not THAT early.) I quickly interrupted her to say that it wasn't my birthday, my birthday wasn't until the next day. She replied that it was indeed my birthday - her phone had told her so, and after thinking about it for a minute, I realized she was right! And it wasn't just that I had the day's date confused, I actually had my birthday wrong. Unbelievable! I guess that's what happens when my standard reply to "when's your birthday?" was "at the end of August." for so long. Never again, though.

Happy Birthday!!! I loved reading about how you forgot it was your birthday :) I don't really have a "funny" b-day story, per se... but my first baby's due date was right around 9 mo. after my 23rd birthday - haha!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful birthday! Four years into dating my better half, he was convinced my birthday was two months earlier than it really was. He was in the midst of plotting a celebration. Thank goodness my bff straightened him out! I wouldn't have known about any of this, except my bff thought it was funny and told me.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you! Mine was on 19th of August. When I was child if somebody would ask me about my birthday I said it was on 18th of August. One day my mother asked me when was my birthday and I said: on 18th. She said: as far as I remember it was on 19th. I was in labor(s) the whole day ;)
